I.L. Motorsport Short Shifter Installation NB MX-5

Our I.L.Motorsport Short Shifter reduces gear throw up to 40% oppose to the OEM part. German engineered and produced to the highest standards, this kit is available for both the 5 and 6 speed NB Gear boxes. The Short Shifter is not a shorter gear lever, but a modified lever that reduces gear throw for faster gear changes. The kit is easy to install but to help you through the process we created this video that will show you the installation step by step. Besides the video a full instruction is provided within the package when ordering. Please note: We supply a kit for both the 5 as the 6 speed gear boxes. These kits have a different part number so ensure you order the correct kit. Shift Boots and other OEM parts that might have been worn out when removing the shifter can be ordered separately. You can check these underneath each kit when ordering. Since this product was derived directly from our racing activities, transmission noise can be transmitted in certain driving situations.
