Odkryj Szlak Połamanych Semaforów na Mazurach

The Trail of Broken Semaphores in Masuria is one of the most intriguing and least told Masurian routes. It is a former railway route from Botkun to Żytkiejm and further to the present Russian Gusev. It ran along the edge of the Romincka Forest, in the picturesque and extremely varied area of Garbate Mazury. The route was built in the years 1907 - 1927, was of strategic importance for East Prussia and functioned until 1945. Because while most of us know the bridges in Stańczyki, Botkuny or Kiepojcie often say nothing. And these were our two biggest Masurian discoveries of 2020. Currently, it largely coincides with the course of the well-known Green Velo bicycle route, and more precisely its northern part called the Romincki Deer Trail.
