LA HISTORIA DE SATYRICON Y TODA SU DISCOGRAFIA / DOCUMENTAL DEL BLACK METAL / NEMESIS DIVINA

THE STORY OF SATYRICON In 1990, bassist Vegard "Wargod" Blomberg and drummer Carl-Michael "Exhurtum" Eide formed the band Eczema. Shortly after, Sigurd "Satyr" Wongraven and Håvard "Lemarchand" Jørgensen joined the band as singer and guitarist, respectively. The band later changed their name to Satyricon, inspired by the satyr of Greek mythology, who, in Satyr's own words, are "musical creatures", thus distorting the idea that it was a tribute to Federico Fellini's film of the same name. In 1992, they released their first demo, which, although untitled, is often referred to as All Evil. Following the release of All Evil, Wargod and Exhurtum left the band. Following their departure, Satyr and Lemarchand recruited drummer Kjetil-Vidar "Frost" Haraldstad as a session musician. With him, the band recorded their second demo, The Forest is my Throne, released in 1993. After releasing these two albums, Lemarchand left the group to join Ulver. Satyr then took over vocals, guitar, bass, and keyboards, while Frost handled the drums. DISCOGRAPHY Dark Medieval Times (1992–1993) Main article: Dark Medieval Times The two demos were well received, and Satyricon was able to sign a contract with No Fashion Records, which offered to release their debut album. During the recording of the album, No Fashion terminated the contract due to financial difficulties, and the band was forced to finance the album itself. At the time, the group tried to find interested record companies and accidentally came across Tatra Productions, who offered to sign them. Tatra was not a black metal-oriented record label, so they decided to create a sub-label to release Satyricon's work, called Moonfog Productions. Dark Medieval Times was released in September of that year. The Shadowthrone (1994–1995) Main article: The Shadowthrone Satyricon returned to the studio in May of the following year to record their second album, which continued the medieval style of Dark Medieval Times. The Shadowthrone was released in September 1994. The album delved further into black metal territory. The Shadowthrone featured a greater emphasis on the synthesizer. The band also enlisted Steinar Sverd "S.S." Johnsen as a session keyboardist and Emperor guitarist Samoth as bassist. After the relative success of their debut album, the band had more resources at their disposal for the production of The Shadowthrone. Later in 1995, the demo tape The Forest Is My Throne was re-released, along with an Enslaved demo, under the name The Forest Is My Throne / Yggdrasil. Although the material included is identical to The Forest Is My Throne, Lemarchand is not mentioned in the credits. Nemesis Divina (1996-1997) Ted Skjellum, guitarist in Nemesis Divina. In January 1996, the band returned to the studio to record their new album over a period of two months. The short recording time was due to the fact that the material had already been written between 1993 and 1995. The album features collaborations with Darkthrone guitarist/vocalist Ted "Nocturno Culto" Skjellum, who under the moniker "Kvedulv" handled rhythm guitar. Nemesis Divina was released on April 22, 1996. THIS IS A MUSIC CHANNEL THAT TALKS ABOUT STORIES OF ROCK SINGERS AND EXTREME MUSICIANS.
