I Didn't Know If My BMW R1150GS Would Make It to Wales...

It was finally time to find out if my *2001 BMW R1150GS* was ready for a real adventure. Just two days before this trip, the bike suffered a failed **Hall Effect Sensor**, leaving me wondering whether I'd have to cancel my long-planned ride to **Wales**. After a last-minute scramble to get the bike repaired, there was only one thing left to do—point it towards the motorway and hope everything held together. This would also be the first real highway test of my *custom BMW R1150GS* after converting it from a more traditional adventure bike into a stripped-back, enduro-inspired machine. Without the original touring fairing, would it still cruise comfortably at motorway speeds? Would the wind protection be enough? And had I finally solved the reliability issues?
