You walked into the Imperial Academy because someone told you it was an honor. Because the Empire promised you a future. You get a number instead of a name. They give you a white and grey uniform. An E-11 blaster locked to the lowest power setting. And they introduce you to the Well. The Well is a programmable obstacle course designed to break you. Floating platforms that shock you when you land wrong. Moving targets. Walls that close in. Every day they add another challenge on top of the last. Fall behind, and you wash out. Washouts get reassigned to the Imperial Army or Navy—the branches that take rejects.
