However, we find in what we possess an existential attribute of perfection, which we call knowledge, for example. We return to Him (may He be exalted) and find it with Him, so we extract it from Him. Then we find in what we possess the perfection which is power, and thus we acquire a new capacity. We return to Him (may He be exalted) and extract from Him the concept of power. And so on with life, hearing, sight, and so forth. Thus, the difference in the concepts of attributes arises, even though the transcendent essence is pure perfection in which there is no distinction between one attribute of perfection and another. Rather, the difference arises from the difference in our perception due to the difference in acquired capacities.
