Photo taken on Thursday, July 24, 2025 This summer's "summer getaway" was a three-day, two-night trip to visit the hot springs of Joshu. On the first day, I stayed at the familiar Itoen Hotels, "Itoen Hotel Oze Oigami Sanrakuso." This was my second stay here in five years, the last time being during the COVID-19 pandemic, so this time I'm happy to be free of the COVID-19 pandemic. Along the line is the popular Ikaho, and while the hot spring town is a bit low-key (there are no convenience stores or anything like that), it's quiet and free of unnecessary light, making for a beautiful starry sky.
