El Salvador, months ago one of the most dangerous countries in the world, is currently presented as the safest country in Latin America. A nation without murder nor extortion where the population, for the first time, is proud of its origins. What happened? The arrival of President Nayib Bukele and his intense fight against the gangs seems to have finished with the brutal delinquency. We got to the capital, San Salvador, to meet the different realities that are lived and to hear firsthand from the families of the various barrios. Is everything that nice? Why is the situation so polemic internationally? And human rights defenders? The eyes of the entire world are set in this little territory; whatever happens now will set the future of their people forever.
