PART 1 On March 30, 2017, in the bunker courtroom of Rebibbia prison in Rome, Massimo Carminati's examination in the "Mafia Capitale" trial continued. Connected by videoconference from Parma prison, the defendant answered questions from the defense and was cross-examined by prosecutor Luca Tescaroli. During the hearing, Carminati addressed some of the central issues of the proceedings: the meaning of the famous wiretap on "Mondo di Mezzo," his relationship with Salvatore Buzzi and the 29 Giugno cooperative, his past and personal ties with members of the Banda della Magliana, the alleged threat to Luigi Seccaroni, and the reconstruction of his movements through GPS data.
