Modelling of the Mixing Tank: Chemical Process Modelling and Simulation
Problem: Examine the depicted mixing tank. A fluid at a high temperature (denoted as Th) enters the tank with a flow rate of Fin hot, while another fluid at a cooler temperature (represented as Tc ) has a flow rate of Fin cold. We’re assuming: The fluid properties remain consistent. No chemical reactions are occurring. Both input streams comprise the same substance. Task : 1 Formulate the mathematical models for this procedure. 2 Derive an expression for the steady-state temperature of the tank.
