Sandwich Dual Forms CORRECTED | Fixing My Mistakes (Part 2)
This is Part 2 of testing sandwich dual forms for the first time - the CORRECTED version! In Part 1, I made several mistakes with gaps, lifting, and poor structure. Today, I am showing you the proper application method with all corrections applied. In this tutorial, you will see the correct technique for sandwich dual forms including proper pressing method, base coat application, and how to achieve professional results without the mistakes from Part 1. š“ WHAT I CORRECTED FROM PART 1: No rhinestones inside dual forms (better structure) Proper pressing technique (entire form at once, not sections) Correct base coat method at cuticle (safer, no skin contact) Better product placement (no flooding, proper coverage) Full cure instead of flash cure (prevents gaps) Assessed nail shape first (hooked nail = no bottom form) āļø FROSTY SNOWFLAKE DESIGN: I created these 3D snowflakes separately using builder gel and silicone moulds. Watch the full tutorial here: Ā Ā Ā ā¢Ā 3DĀ SnowflakeĀ NailĀ ArtĀ TutorialĀ |Ā EasyĀ Moul...Ā Ā ā ļø IMPORTANT TIPS: ā Do not put too much pigment/gel polish into polygel (changes chemistry, may not cure, can cause allergies) ā Press ENTIRE sandwich form at once (not like regular dual forms) ā Do not flash cure sections - press and cure fully ā For hooked/downward growing nails - skip bottom form, file underneath instead ā Place base coat on bottom form instead of letting product touch skin (safer method) ā Buff surface lightly before top coat (helps it grab) šŗ WATCH PART 1 FIRST: See all the mistakes I made: Ā Ā Ā ā¢Ā TestingĀ SandwichĀ DualĀ FormsĀ forĀ theĀ FirstĀ ...Ā Ā Compare Part 1 (mistakes) vs Part 2 (corrected) to understand what NOT to do and what works better! ā±ļø TIMESTAMPS: 0:00 Introduction - Part 2 corrected version 0:21 Products and materials shown 1:17 Mixing polygel with pigments (safety warning) 2:01 Preparing dual forms with snowflakes 3:04 Placing snowflakes and rhinestones in forms 3:39 Creating ombre effect with polygel colors 6:27 Nail prep (cuticles, buffing, dehydrating) 6:49 Applying flexible base coat 6:58 Gel polish application (shimmer and glitter) 8:14 Base coat method on bottom form (no skin contact) 9:14 CORRECT pressing technique (entire form at once) 10:08 Hooked nail - no bottom form used 11:04 Removing forms and cleaning 11:31 Refining with carbide bit 13:11 Filing with 180 grit 14:25 Buffing surface 14:57 Adding snowflake sticker to pinky 15:47 Top coat application 16:21 Final reminder: Watch Part 1 for mistakes comparison 17:06 Final results showcase š KEY DIFFERENCES FROM PART 1: In Part 1, I had gaps, holes, lifting, and structural problems because I: Put rhinestones INSIDE the form (not enough space for product) Flash cured like regular dual forms (wrong technique) Forced bottom form on hooked nail (incorrect structure) In Part 2, I corrected ALL of these mistakes and achieved professional results with proper structure, no gaps, and beautiful frosty design! š LEARN PROFESSIONAL NAIL TECHNIQUES: Want to master dual forms, BIAB, and advanced nail techniques properly?
