Twitter @juangangel Puerto Gaitán is located in the department of Meta, in the eastern Colombian plains, one of the municipalities with the largest number of hectares cultivated with crops such as corn, soybeans, rice, and plantains, among others. It is home to one of the country's most productive farms, which has been recognized for its results in production, crops, and genetics. At the beginning of this project, and despite the difficulties, it was a long-term vision that allowed a small group of entrepreneurs to work and make the most of these lands, cultivating corn and soybeans on a large scale to feed the pigs raised there.
