I consider Gwangju as my Korean hometown. It’s the first city where I spent most of the hot, humid summer of 2018 wandering and exploring when I first moved to South Korea. Gwangju is the city where I bought my bicycle, my first hiking experience in Korea, where I partied with friends on the weekends, where I saw BTS, and it’s the first place where I started learning about Korea’s modern history.
