Complete Startup of an EMD SD60 Locomotive 3800 Horsepower Engine
The entire process of starting an SD60 locomotive from being totally dead to ready to run. Starting at the electrical cabinet to the engine compartment and ending at the control stand where the locomotive is controlled from. The engine noise you hear in the background is another locomotive attached to the one that is being started. This engine is an EMD SD60 (special duty) and has 3800 horsepower. It was built in 1986. I do not work for the railroad in any way. This footage was given to me. I have more videos ready for release. Subscribe to stay in the loop!
