A Letter Before You Press Play I never thought I'd write a song. If you know me, you'd know this isn't something I usually do. But some people make you attempt things you never thought you were capable of. This song exists because of one person—my mother. I wanted to give her something that wouldn't be forgotten after a day. Something she could come back to years from now and know exactly how much she has always meant to me. I don't know if I wrote a perfect song, and honestly, that was never the goal. I just wanted every word to be real. So if the lyrics sound simple, they're sincere.
