Walking Through Modern Basildon | Part 1

In this first short film of a three-part series, I begin a walk through modern Basildon from the Great Oaks car park toward East Walk. Along the route, I look at familiar town-centre spaces, everyday architecture, and how the layout of Basildon’s New Town continues to shape how people move through and experience the place today. This isn’t a nostalgic look back — it’s a gentle, observational walk through the town as it exists now, as part of Basildon Heritage’s effort to document local places before they change again. 📍 Part 2 coming soon.
