2026 Sanger SCAD Symposium: "Patient Story--Mother Nature's Stress Test: Pregnancy," Layne Strookman
The 2026 Sanger SCAD Symposium -- a virtual event for the first time -- offers a comprehensive agenda on the diagnosis and management of spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) for providers, patients, family and allies. The CME/CNE eligible event features presentations by iSCAD Registry principal investigators from around the United States, as well as esteemed guest faculty from multiple institutions. Research highlights, new areas of study, and a host of patient-submitted questions are covered throughout the meeting. Co-sponsored by SCAD Alliance, the Symposium's excellent planning committee was led by co-chairs Dr. Esther Kim and Dr. Agnes Koczo, and included Dr. Daniela Crousillat, Dr. Sahar Naderi, Dr. Monika Sanghavi, Dr. Amy Sarma, Dr. Nandita Scott, and Dr. Malissa Wood. As always, we are grateful for the generosity of the Izard Family Fund for Excellence in Women's Cardiovascular Care for making the annual Symposiums possible, and express our sincere gratitude to the Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute team for their support and talent! All 22 presentations of the day are shared in this playlist. Enjoy, and please consider supporting SCAD Alliance as we work to raise awareness, educate the medical community about SCAD, and advance research of this complex condition. https://scadalliance.org/donate/ Sessions and topics: 1.
