Coach RAC (Savannah Bananas) Talks Faith, Baseball, Humility & Overcoming Fear at K-LOVE Fan Awards

Coach RAC speaks backstage at the 2026 K-LOVE Fan Awards about faith, baseball and the lessons God has taught him through failure, fear and humility. The Savannah Bananas star opens up about growing up in a Christian home and how his faith was challenged when he entered professional baseball. After struggling with the “yips” at third base, Coach RAC says a men’s Bible study helped him realize that much of his fear came from people-pleasing and idolizing the opinions of others. He shares how God’s love helped free him from that fear, reminding him that even in failure, his identity remained secure in Christ. Coach RAC also encourages young athletes to stay connected to the local church, seek out mentors and listen to older, wiser voices. He also reflects on how baseball has humbled him, why every day on the field is a gift from God and how the many unexpected parts of his story have come together in his role with the Savannah Bananas.
