Hi everyone! We checked out of the cozy place we stayed in and finally headed to Monte Albán, the iconic ancient ruins of Oaxaca. Climbing up the massive stone steps at the top of the mountain, the view felt so mystical—almost like standing at the edge of the world. It was also surreal to hear the Aztec "Death Whistle" in person, which I had only ever seen on Korean TV shows. 😊 Back in the city, we tried "Caldo" at a local market, and it truly felt like a Mexican version of Korean soul food (Gukbap)! From Yuhi—who is basically a local now, squeezing limes into everything—to the savory yellow mole and fresh shrimp ceviche, we completely fell in love with the flavors of Oaxaca. We did face a minor mental breakdown when our accommodation got unexpectedly canceled late at night in the beach town, but the cool night breeze and the sound of crickets made it a perfectly happy night in Oaxaca.
