IMPULSION : vers un dépistage organisé du cancer du poumon en France.

IMPULSION is a pilot research program on lung cancer screening. It is based on a low-dose, rapid, and painless chest CT scan, combined with personalized support to quit smoking. It is aimed at current and former smokers aged 50 to 74 who have quit within the last 15 years. Professors Marie-Pierre Revel and Sébastien Couraud, coordinators of the program at the Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) and the Hospices Civils de Lyon (Lyon University Hospitals), explain how this screening works and why it could be a game-changer. This research program is funded by the French National Cancer Institute (INCa). More information is available at depistage-cancer-poumon.fr or by calling 34 33.
