In this series I take certain Sony camcorders (VX1000, VX2000, VX2100, VX700, PD150, PD170, PD100, PDX10, TRV900, TRV950 and other Sony's) that I purchase from ebay, craigslist, offer up, etc that are listed as parts/not-working and test to see if in fact that maybe they do actually work, or might function well enough to be usable. These camcorders have always held a very special place in my heart. Coming from a skateboard background these are the camcorders that I would always see the filmers using in the videos but I could never afford in the late 90's to early 2000's. So now in 2026 these camcorders have become semi-affordable, at least compared to what they used to cost. It's been cool to be able to obtain some of these camcorders, clean them up, fix some issues and pass along to people that still want to use this style of camcorder. Will it Work?
