Lot 2 Road Clearing Shoulder Formation Works from New Longoro Kyingakrom on Wenchi Sawla Wa Road 4K

In today’s update, we are on the Wenchi–Sawla Road Project, specifically Lot 2, covering the 25 to 50 kilometre stretch. This section runs from SubiNso 2, through Branam, kYingakrom, and continues towards New Longoro. The project is being executed by China International Water & Electric Corp ie CIWE Ghana Engineering Ltd — under the supervision of the Ghana Highway Authority. At the outskirts of Kyingakrom, you can see that the contractor has carried out road clearing along the corridor. Vegetation and topsoil have been removed to prepare the road formation. In several areas, sand has been placed continuously along both sides of the road. This is a clear indication of upcoming shoulder formation works. The road shoulder is very important because it provides support to the main carriageway, improves drainage, enhances safety for vehicles, and protects the edges of the pavement from damage. From New Longoro through Kyingakrom to Ayorla, the corridor lies within the Bono East Region, and work is steadily progressing along the alignment.
