NAMIBIA AND CHINA ELEVATE BILATERAL TIES - nbc
Namibia and China have elevated their bilateral relations to a China-Namibia community, opening a new chapter in decades of political solidarity, economic cooperation and shared development. The elevation was announced during bilateral talks between President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing on Friday. The latest development is against the backdrop of the ambitions of both countries as they pursue modernisation, with Namibia working towards its Vision 2030. President Nandi-Ndaitwah said relations between the two countries had matured into a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, supported by regular high-level engagements, while President Xi applauded the expansion of cooperation into strategic sectors.
