A former lead trumpeter of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra under Wynton Marsalis, he has released multiple recordings as a bandleader, earning recognition for his soulful sound and compositional depth. Jones has shared the stage with jazz luminaries including Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, and Illinois Jacquet.
