Cultural Appreciation - Exploring How to Learn About People and Traditions

In this social studies lesson for upper elementary, students will discover ways to continue learning about culture on their own. With the help of an anthropologist, they will explore different ways to appreciate and understand cultural groups respectfully. Students will learn how documentaries, cultural fairs, and friendships can help them explore new traditions, beliefs, and ways of life. By the end of the lesson, they will have practical ideas for deepening their knowledge of cultures around the world. This lesson is from Miacademy’s Exploring Social Studies course.
