British Rail Yorkshire 1992-Wakefield Kirkgate With Classes 37, 47, 56, 141 & 144

It's April 1992 and i'm at Wakefield Kirkgate in Yorkshire. A lovely old station but in a very run down condition. The passenger services were in the hands of Pacers, classes 141 & 144 but back then there was plenty of freight action and some interesting traction is seen on this upload. The calss 141 railbuses were an early withdrawl and even by now few 141s were left running. We have 37 418 carried a short lived special name 'Gordon Grigg' passing by on an oil working. There were quite a few oil trains this day with some of the other workings covered by the Immingham Petroleum Sector shell named ones. A Grid on a domestic coal working, an RfD 47 on a ballast and GWR green 47 500 complete this upload.
