Later, a letter revealed that the package was intended for another brother, but the Lord had used this situation to feed them during a time of need. He also speaks of the simplicity of the meals back then, with his father serving in the kitchen for fifty years: fries morning and noon, limited resources, but complete trust in God. He recalls that many were illiterate, that they learned to read out of love for the Lord and for the Word of God, and that the Bible School was a place of powerful experiences where they relied on God.
