John Refra Kei, better known as John Kei, is one of Indonesia's most controversial figures. His name has emerged in the media due to his involvement in various legal cases, particularly those related to the criminal underworld and organizational conflicts. John Kei was born on September 10, 1969, on Kei Island, Southeast Maluku. His real name is John Refra, but he is better known as Kei, taken from the name of his hometown. His family comes from a humble background, steeped in Maluku customs and traditions. As a teenager, John Kei decided to emigrate to Jakarta in search of a better life. Like many young people from other regions, he started from scratch, facing the harshness of metropolitan life.
