MzzBev Creates Studio Update & Dexter’s Health

Welcome back to another Studio Vlog! Fair warning... this one is a bit of a *Chatty Cathy* episode. ☕😄 I don't have a mountain of footage this time around, but I do have plenty of stories, updates, and a peek behind the scenes of what's been keeping me busy. The vlog begins on *June 30th**, a day that's always close to my heart—my beloved husband's birthday. ❤️ This year, my daughter and I spent the day remembering him in some of his favorite ways. We picked up a half dozen patriotic Dunkin' donuts (or as he lovingly called them, his *"kokos" 🥹), and for dinner we enjoyed hamburgers, another one of his all-time favorites. It was a sweet, simple day of remembering someone we both love very much, and having my daughter there made the day extra special. In years past I've spent this day alone, so sharing it together meant more than I can say. I also share some news about my faithful little sidekick, **Dexter**. At 12 years old, he's recently been diagnosed with IVDD, so we're learning how to navigate this new season together. It's definitely an adjustment, but we're taking things one day (and one tail wag) at a time. Back in the studio, I give you a little Audrey update! 🐾 While I'm not quite ready to spill the beans just yet, I can tell you that I've been busy behind the scenes working on something that won't officially be revealed until the end of August. The secret remains safe... for now. 😉 I also show off my newly revamped *Jesus Movement* sticker sheets! Earlier this year I mentioned I wanted to refresh some of my older designs, and it's been so much fun breathing new life into them. Then it's time for cherries! 🍒 My cherry collection has taken a delightful little detour. Instead of focusing on retro 1950s and '60s kitchen gadgets, I've been illustrating scenes inspired by the annual *Traverse City National Cherry Festival* (in Michigan). So far you'll see happy cherries, refreshing pink lemonade, and even a glass full of fresh cherries—just like the kind we'd munch on while strolling through the festival grounds. I'm still keeping my favorite light turquoise and cherry-red color palette, and I have two more illustrations left before the collection is complete. My plan is to turn the finished artwork into an adorable notepad! I also have a brand-new guillotine waiting patiently in its box! As tempting as it is to tear into it immediately, I'm saving the unboxing until after I return from my holiday trip next week. We'll open it together when I get home and settled back into the studio. To wrap things up, I share some exciting commission news! My wonderful daughter-in-law, who's a travel agent, has asked me to create custom *Thank You**, **Happy Anniversary**, and **Happy Birthday* cards for her business. I'm really looking forward to working on this project and bringing her vision to life. Thanks so much for spending a little time with me today.
