Michael Jackson's Thriller Keyboard Tutorial / Deconstruction (Korg Kronos)

This Thriller project was the first big tutorial‑style performance I ever made, back when I was still early in my journey as a player. I originally programmed the sounds just for myself, without planning to turn it into a video, but a friend convinced me to record it — and at that time there really weren’t videos like this on YouTube. Combining complex Kronos programming with visual explanations was still new, so the whole thing ended up standing out far more than I expected. Even though I would design the sounds very differently today, the programming here is still smart and fun to play. Everything is performed live, while the text and visual cues show what’s happening behind the scenes. The video grew quickly and was eventually shared by Keyboard Magazine, and it received comments from major names like Michael Bearden (Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga) — “Nice work. This is why we do what he does.” — and Steve Porcaro (TOTO; Michael Jackson) — “Great work. Very cool…”. Over time it collected hundreds of comments from players around the world.
