The management of excavated soil and rock falls within the scope of Part IV of Legislative Decree No. 152/2006. Depending on the conditions encountered, soil and rock can assume different classifications and consequently be subject to different legal regimes. The SNPA guidelines are useful for operators in the sector by integrating the current national framework for soil and rock regulations into a single document.
