Accessories: Stunt kite https://amzn.to/30JtEzT Anemometer https://amzn.to/2SFaTJv Multi-line kites are usually steerable. They usually have two lines that can be pulled with varying degrees of force. One line is connected to each end of the kite. There is usually a left and a right end, each with a line attached. A delta stunt kite Since kites have the ability to ascend on their own with sufficient wind, if, for example, the right line is pulled harder, the left part of the kite can ascend faster. Consequently, it rotates around its right side, clockwise from the pilot's perspective. The wind force vector and the pulling force vector are not exactly opposite each other. Consequently, the left part of the kite twists slightly backward (to leeward), so that the kite points further to the right from the pilot's perspective. This causes the kite to fly further to the right. Pulling on the left line creates mirror symmetry. Pilots can make the kite fly loops, twists, angles, and other maneuvers by pulling on the lines. Depending on the lines, up to 15 loops are possible, allowing the control lines to twist to one side. This also works as a team sport; usually four pilots form a crew and fly maneuvers together in competitions. The delta kite is the classic stunt kite. Along with the rhombus kite, it was the first to be used as a stunt kite. The delta consists of a V-shaped sail, which is spread out by a slightly narrower V in the rod construction. The wind curves the sail surfaces upward, forming the profile. A bridle line is attached at about one-third of the length of the V and at about two-thirds of the length. A third line is led to the lower end of the center strut (three-point attachment). This provides two attachment points for the control lines. Delta kites come in many different designs. In the example shown on the right, the sail area is pre-tensioned by small stands, called stand-offs. Generally speaking, small kites move faster, while large ones move slower. Large kites develop significantly higher pulling forces than small ones. Several stunt kites can be linked together. The current world record is 301 kites (August 21, 2010 in St. Peter-Ording).
