I restored badly yellowed headlights by sanding them and applying a 2K urethane clear coat for headlights, “Tough Urethane Headlight.” Polishing compound alone was not enough to make them clear, so I sanded the yellowed coating layer from 120-grit to 1500-grit before applying the clear coat. Some fine cracks still remain, but the yellowing and cloudiness have been greatly improved, giving the headlights a clear, almost-new finish.
