Komtar JBCC was a refurbishment of the old Komtar building. It is located by the CIQ and attached to it by a footbridge. Also it is next door to another mall, City Square Mall. Opened in 2014 It had a big department store as an anchor tenant and also brands like Marks and Spencer, and an Angry Birds play-park. Fast forward till today and the department store, Marks and Spencer and Angry Birds are long gone. However, after a rocky period, it seems to be back on its feet with lots of new tenants and plenty of F&B outlets and it seems to have found its place in Johor’s Mallscape.
