Speaker: Masaki Ando UTokyo Open Lecture series aims to directly communicate outcomes of our academic research to a larger audience.The theme of the 125th lecture is explosion. In February 2016, gravitational waves radiated from coalescence of black holes was observed for the first time.This lecture explains that observation in detail and introduces explosions in the universe.
