Who was Jumbo, and why does his story live on more than 140 years later? In this video, we visit the city of St. Thomas, Ontario, to discover the incredible story of the world's most famous elephant. 🐘 From his days as the star of the Barnum & Bailey Circus to the tragic train accident that took his life on September 15, 1885, Jumbo became a legend that continues to fascinate people of all ages. After his death, Jumbo was preserved and exhibited in the United States, where thousands of people continued to visit him for decades. However, a fire destroyed the museum where he was housed, giving rise to the famous story that Jumbo "died twice." Today, St. Thomas honors his memory with monuments, stories, and even a beer inspired by him: 🍺 Double Dead Elephant. We also visit Elevated Park, its historic streets, and the famous Railway City Brewery for its local beer. 📍 St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada If you enjoy intriguing stories, travel, and places with fascinating pasts, this video is for you. 👍 Like this video 🔔 Subscribe for more adventures 💬 Tell us if you knew Jumbo's story Naomi's Cake Boutique https://www.instagram.com/naomis_cake...
