ABC Rage Guest Programmer - Fontaines D.C. - 18th March 2023
Every segment from the morning and evening shows. Original description from the Rage website: Kiss em, they're Irish! Join Grian Chatten and Conor Deegan III of Fontaines D.C. as they spin some of their favourite music videos on rage, on St Patrick's Day weekend no less! After multiple pandemic tour postponements and the release of two more albums over the last couple of years, Fontaines D.C. finally made it over here in February for their debut Australian tour, bringing the sound of Dublin post-punk to die-hard fans across the country. On the eve of their appearance at Sydney Laneway Festival, Grian and Deego dropped by the rage studio for a crash course in Australian music culture, guest programming rage for the first time. They've teeed up some of their favourite music clips from fellow Irish artists like The Pogues, Just Mustard, Sinead O'Connor and The Dubliners, post-punk influences such as The Cure, Sonic Youth and Jesus & The Mary Chain, and whatever the heck else they felt like, including Korn, Outkast, Ice Cube, Nine Inch Nails, Björk and more.
