Reforma Agrária - Sala Debate - Canal Futura - Parte 02

Agrarian Reform The debate on agrarian reform is intertwined with Brazilian republican history, especially after the 1940s. On one side, there is a group that believes the country doesn't need agrarian reform and that even considering it goes against agribusiness, which is responsible for 20% of our GDP. On the other, there are those who argue that it is necessary to occupy inactive rural areas and that about 70% of the food that reaches our table comes from family farming. Currently, the Minister of Agriculture, Kátia Abreu, and the Minister of Agrarian Development, Patrus Ananias, do not share the same opinion on whether or not agrarian reform is necessary in Brazil, and the subject is once again being discussed. In this program, we take advantage of this historical and highly relevant topic to ask you: is agrarian reform necessary in Brazil or not?
