In the mid 2010’s, BMW M, Audi RS and Mercedes AMG downsized their big V8 naturally aspirated engines, and went turbocharged. Lexus didn’t get the memo, and co-developed a thunderous 5.0 V8 with Yamaha, and slipped it into their mad RC Coupe with an 8 speed automatic transmission.
