Lecture 19: Micelle Formation, Kraftt Temperature and Cloud Point
This is the third and final lecture of Chapter 7 on surfactants in water. Here we will introduce the process of micellization and discuss the structure of formed micelles. We will also identify two additional parameters from surface tension curves for surfactants, the critical micelle concentration (CMC) and the surface tension at the CMC, and introduce Kraftt temperature and Cloud Point, which help characterize surfactant phase behavior.
