Bharat Tex 2026: India's Biggest Textile Expo Showcases Global Manufacturing Strength
India has taken another major step toward becoming a global textile manufacturing and sourcing hub with the inauguration of Bharat Tex 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh inaugurated the four-day mega event, which spans 1.6 million square feet and showcases more than 20,000 textile products across the complete value chain, including fibre, yarn, fabrics, apparel, home textiles, technical textiles, machinery, and emerging technologies. A key highlight was the signing of a Letter of Intent between the Bharat Tex Trade Federation and Première Vision Paris, strengthening India-Europe collaboration in fashion, innovation, sustainability, design, and global market access. The Government of India aims to increase textile exports from US$38 billion to US$100 billion by 2030. Flagship initiatives such as the PM MITRA Mega Textile Parks, Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme, and Samarth Scheme are expected to attract ₹70,000 crore in investment and generate more than 2.1 million jobs. With participation from international delegations, buyers, investors, and industry leaders from countries including Russia and New Zealand, Bharat Tex 2026 is expected to boost exports, investment, innovation, and global partnerships, further reinforcing India's position as a leading textile powerhouse. #BharatTex2026 #Textiles #India #MakeInIndia #GirirajSingh #PMMITRA #PLI #TextileIndustry #BharatMandapam #NewDelhi #Manufacturing #Exports #Fashion #TechnicalTextiles #InvestIndia #Business #Economy #GlobalTrade #IndiaNews #TextileExpo
