Surviving the Hottest Week in the Netherlands ☀️🇳🇱 | Volendam, Amsterdam & Summer Days

The Netherlands experienced one of its hottest weeks of the year, with temperatures reaching 30–35°C! ☀️ Instead of staying indoors, I made the most of the sunshine and brought you along for a week full of little adventures. We started with a visit to Volendam, a charming fishing village just 20 minutes east of Amsterdam, where I explored the harbor with my friend Beth and enjoyed the beautiful waterfront views. Later in the week, I visited Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) to chat with a friend about pursuing a PhD. I also joined a girls’ meetup at a cozy art gallery in Amsterdam, where we admired some fascinating NFT artwork and had great conversations. To wrap up the week, I helped my boyfriend pick out some new clothes at Uniqlo, enjoyed delicious Chinese food together, and after training, we walked home and spent a relaxing afternoon in the park.
