As one of the main architects of the "Final Solution", Himmler made it his life's work to see the Holocaust carried out. As the war was coming to a close, some U.S. soldiers made it into Himmler's house and got away with some of his stuff. Some of that stuff is now on display at The Gettysburg Museum of History.
