Hello friends, on our trip today, we are visiting our Kovanlık village, one of the eagle's nest villages of Bozkır. The reason why I don't say eagle's nest is Hacıyunuslar, Sogucak and Kovanlık, our villages with the highest altitude on the roof of the district. The altitude of our Kovanlık village is 1580 m. It is said that our village got its name because it is a beautiful area used by the beekeepers in Üçpınar village, which we have included in our previous trips around our village, to put their Beehives. The surrounding people, who put their hives in the village, later turned this place into a settlement. The settlement area of the village is in the mountainous area, and the plain part between the two mountains is completely planted. The name of this village was written as Kovanlık in the bulletin named Konya Province, published in 1962, which was prepared jointly by the General Directorate of Provincial Administration of the Ministry of Interior and the General Directorate of Maps, and it seems likely that its previous name was Kovanlık and its name has not changed.
