In this latest video on traction systems, I'd like to introduce four-wheel drive, detailing the key differences in design and use. This video will serve as a primer for the next ones, where we'll actually see them in action. N.B.: When I refer to differentials and their locations, I'm speaking by convention. In reality, a viscous coupling or transfer case could replace the center differential, and its location is often not central, but close to the axle!
