THE SECRET OF THE CREATION OF CREATURES (Book of Dakoiqul Akbar, supervised by Ustadz Prof. Roibin) Allah created various creatures in the universe so that they might recognize Him. In the hadith qudsi, Allah says, "I am like a secret treasure, and I desire to be known, so I created creation, and all creatures understand only Me." Once these creatures recognize Allah, they will then serve Him. In one verse, Allah says, "I did not create the jinn and mankind except to serve Me." Allah created creation so that they could recognize Allah. All creatures recognize and glorify Allah. Humans are special creatures, because only humans are tested by Allah. Besides humans, the creatures tested by Allah are the jinn. Humans and jinn who are good and obedient to Allah will enter Paradise, while humans and jinn who disobey Allah will go to Hell. Of all of Allah's creations, only humans receive special treatment. In Surah Al-Hujurat, verse 13, Allah says, "O mankind! Indeed, We created you from male and female, then We made you into nations and tribes so that you may know one another. Indeed, the most honorable among you in the sight of Allah is the most pious. Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware." Before creating humans, Allah had already created other creatures made from rotten clay whose only job was to cause corruption and war on earth. Therefore, when Allah was about to create humans, the angels protested because the previous creatures created from rotten clay had only caused corruption on earth. Allah then conveyed to the angels that He knew better than them about what He had created. Humans were created from clay, and Allah granted them special privileges by making them caliphs on earth. Allah created humans into different tribes and nations. The purpose was for humans to understand each other, greet each other, and recognize each other. All humans are equal; no one should mock or belittle another. Men should not assume they are superior to women. Conversely, women should not feel inferior. Men and women are God's creations, and they do not have the right to choose their gender, birthplace, or parentage. Human creation is a destiny predetermined by God, with equal status. Humans should not feel superior to others, except in terms of their own good deeds. However, these achievements should not lead to arrogance. Differences in religious understanding create class stratifications between scholars and laypeople, while achievements in wealth differentiate between the rich and the poor, and so on. Humans are God's perfect creatures, so the jinn and angels were commanded to prostrate themselves before the Prophet Adam. All angels prostrate themselves before humans, but among the jinn, there is Satan who refused to prostrate. When asked by God why he would not prostrate to Adam, Satan replied, "O Allah, I was created from fire, while Adam was created from clay; I am better than Adam." This act of Satan was the first form of racism that angered God, leading to his expulsion from Paradise. If God had willed, He could have created all humans to be obedient, but God created diverse people to be tested, so that people would compete in doing good deeds. Those who are able to do good deeds and obey God will pass God's test and earn Paradise.
