Paulina comes directly to this conversation from the courtroom—from the trial of Johannes M., a palliative care physician accused of 15 murders, who, according to Paulina's research, is alleged to have killed up to 93 people. This is a man whose doctoral thesis was titled "Why Do People Kill?"—before he himself began killing. Paulina discusses the peculiar fascination that true crime evokes, while at the same time we push away the real deaths of our loved ones.
