They have both seen 1,018 full moons (Chandrama Purna), which means they have witnessed more than 1,000 full moons (Purnimas) in their lifespan. Because of this milestone, it is a huge celebration. In our culture, we celebrate this grand birthday as Chourashi by performing a puja for the moon (Chandrama) and lighting the Lakshya Batti in the evening.
