FMS F-86 Sabre, 80mm EDF RC Jet Maiden Flight and a few tips

This is the FMS 80 mm EDF F-86 Sabre RC Jet Plane that is available from fmshobby.com (see links below) This is a Plug and Play RC jet plane, or a PNP RC plane. Since it is a PNP, the only items needed to get the plane up and running is a user installed receiver, battery (I use a Liperior 6S 22.2 volt 5000 mAh 65C Lipo) , and a 6-channel radio system (Futaba for me). No gluing is required and there are only about 12 quick steps for assembly. Except for user supplied receiver and battery, all of the electronics are preinstalled, including EDF, ESC, electronic distribution board, full retractable landing gear and operating landing gear door, LED lights and more. SEE the text below for links and info about discount codes from FMS. In this video I present the maiden flight. The plane flew great. I set the balance and control throws PER THE INSTRUCTIONS and the plane flew wonderfully. I made a few minor trim adjustments and the plane was dialed in and flew like a champ. I was certainly impressed with the ease in which the plane took to the sky. This is not a beginner plane, but for those with some experience flying sport planes, this plane should be a great flyer. My only challenge was learning the landing characteristics. Yes, this jet has to land with a bit of speed because, yes, its a jet. But with some practice with flaps and speed breaks, the landings will get better. I had two bumpy landings because I wanted to assure I didn't stall on approach, so I came in a bit too fast. But other then the front landing wheel needing a tune up, the plane held up to my abuse LOL... The plane is solid and well made and flies like it! I note that I am an experienced RC plane "pilot", flying glow and gas props, but this is only my second EDF jet and this maiden was only my third flight of an EDF jet, meaning I'm new to EDF jets. So it was a joy how nice this plane handled. I'm hooked! The FMS F-86 is a beautiful rendition of the real F-86 with two color schemes and gobs of details including colorful decals, panel lines, detailed cockpit and pilot, CNC shock absorbing landing gear and doors, lights, air breaks, ailerons, flaps, elevator, rudder, throttle, weathered effects, drop tanks, antenna and pitot tube and more. I was very impressed with quality of parts, ease of construction and looks of this iconic military jet. I recommend visiting FMSHobby.com for details and see if the F-86 is right for you. This FMS F-86 is one of a few RC jets I'll be looking into as I prepare for my next RC balsa plane build series where I will be building an RC Jet from a balsa kit. I have been building, flying, crashing, modifying, and repairing radio control planes (RC Planes) for many years and enjoy sharing what I do with the radio control plane community, so I started RC Plane Tech channel for fun. I am not an expert, there are many different techniques when building radio control planes. A good way to learn about flying and building rc planes is to see what others are doing, that's what I do and that's why I like to share what I do. I also fly ARF and PNP planes, and building balsa EDF jet kits, and doing reviews when I can.
