Last week, several members of the Olst Gentlemen's Society paid a special tribute to the recently deceased writer and comedian Wim T. Schippers in the Willy Dobbeplantsoen in Olst. Many members of this Gentlemen's Society were fervent fans of Schippers' work. He often used the Willy Dobbeplantsoen as a backdrop in his TV programs. The Gentlemen's Society ensured that Olst was enriched with a genuine Willy Dobbeplantsoen in 1997.
